The first debate

Obama blew it tonight. Romney was very convincing. For those who haven't been watching the campaign from the beginning Romney must have appeared reasonable, informed, and his ideas worth considering. Tonight was not just a screeching halt to his year long rush to the right, but a complete erasure of his "etch-a-sketch principles." Watch now as he starts "re-drawing" the Romney we saw when he was Governor of Mass.

The purpose to life

There are 2 kinds of people in the world:  
One type are those who believe that the only purpose, the only reason, the only goal in life is the pursuite of the all-mighty dollar and that the only meaningful measure of success is the dollar and how much of it one can accumulate durring their lifetime.
The other type are those who believe that the purpose, the reason, the goal in life is to make life better and that the true measure of success is is wheather ones time on this earth has made it a better place to

As incredibly complex as is the human brain there are some species which have capabilities we humans lack.  For many insects the visible spectrum exceeds our own.  Some are able to see ultra-violet light.

Mr. Romney, Have You Seen the 47 Percent?

$10,000 bets. Corporations are people. Let the housing market hit rock bottom. Yada, yada. … it seems to me — taking him at his word — that Mitt Romney isn't concerned about the 47 percent because he doesn't even see them.
