For those interested: I was born New Years Day, After graduating from High School, I enlisted in the Air Force and spent 9 months at Lower AFB, Denver, Colorado studying electronics then 3 years at Westover AFB, Chicopee, Massachusetts doing maintenance on B-52s. At University I studied History and Political Science and received a BA from California State University Northridge. While in college I met and married my wife. I have held all types of jobs from farm laborer to management positions in Government and private industry. I took an early retirement in 1998 and since that time have devoted myself to "fun" jobs that have included bartender, taxi driver, newspaper reporter and columnist, free lance photographer, security, lock smith, IT consultant, and several others. I was a PC programmer for part of my career with Civil Service and since 2000 have been doing WEB programming for fun. At various times in my life I have lived in Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts, California, Maryland, South Carolina, and Israel, and currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have traveled to 31 of the 50 United States and to Mexico, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Israel, and Cyprus. I have always been interested in politics and current events and have been a candidate (unsuccessfully) for office. I lean to the left politically (although I sympathize with certain views of the Libertarians and was once a Republican [back in the days when that party still had a Liberal Wing.]) and consider myself a Liberal Democrat. I enjoy painting and have sold some works, but haven't done any painting for the last few years. In addition to my newspaper articles, I have also been published in poetry anthologys. It occurred to me today that the Obama campaign is failing to address a very big concern of the voters.  The voters of the country have lost all faith in government.  His ideas and plans and policies are right but voters are not hearing from him what they are hearing form the other side and that is [...]

I’ve finished another redesign of all my websites and gotten them merged so that there is just one front door to everything.  Still have a lot of stuff to get back.  This redesign started from scratch except for this blog.  The biggest take down was the photo albums.  I’ve given up on Gallery.  Just too slow [...]

Liz and I were both delegates to The Clark County convention which was a disaster.  About 4 times as many people showed up for the convention as expected and the convention had to be reconvened weeks later to complete the voting. Again, both Liz and I were selected as delegates to the Nevada State convention which met in [...]

The Nevada Caucuses took place Saturday and Liz and I attended our precinct Democratic caucus at the local school.  We had 117 show up.  Only 3 candidates received support and (unfortunately) Edwards only had 15 supporters.  The viability cut off was 18 and we were unable to convince anyone to join us so we had to redistribute ourselves. I’m really loving my new MAC!  After having used Windows for so many years and dealt with the frustration of the speed (or lack of speed!!) of doing anything on a PC the speed, simplicity, and stability of MAC is like a breath of fresh air.  However, I have had to give up some of [...]
