Well beyond everyones expectations (except for the folks in New Orleans) the Saints have won and the Colts will have to sneak out of Miami in the middle of the night with their tails between their legs just as they did from Baltimore all those years ago. When I lived in Maryland the Colts were my team….until they packed up and sneaked out of town in the middle of the night. So I was very happy to see them get tromped by Saints from the other Sin City.

It was a great game and I’m sure the folks in The Big Easy will be celebrating from now ’til Mardi Gras.

The Commercials this year…Not so great. Maybe one or two lived up to the hype. Maybe we’ve all just come to expect more than can be delivered by the Madison Ave. marketing geniuses. Maybe all the geniuses are now in the unemployment lines. Maybe their jobs have been out-sourced to lower waged workers overseas. Maybe they’ve just run out of ideas.

The half time show was technologically impressive and The Who…well I was impressed by the fact that they had the stamina (at our age) to do it. (I’m trying to give a favorable review here!)

Anyway, the game was great, Vegas profited, a city that needed a psychological boost got it, and those of us who were fans of the Baltimore Colts got some satisfaction.
