Toronto
The trip to Toronto has been great. Oh didn’t post that we were on our way did I. On the way home now and will be glad to get out of the cold. Actually the cold wasn’t all that bad. Got a chance to watch some of the Olympic games but the best times here were spent with our new granddaughter.
Super Bowl Saints
It was a great game and I’m sure the folks in The Big Easy will be celebrating from now ’til Mardi Gras.
The Commercials this year…Not so great. Maybe one or two lived up to the hype. Maybe we’ve all just come to expect more than can be delivered by the Madison Ave. marketing geniuses. Maybe all the geniuses are now in the unemployment lines. Maybe their jobs have been out-sourced to lower waged workers overseas. Maybe they’ve just run out of ideas.
The half time show was technologically impressive and The Who…well I was impressed by the fact that they had the stamina (at our age) to do it. (I’m trying to give a favorable review here!)
Anyway, the game was great, Vegas profited, a city that needed a psychological boost got it, and those of us who were fans of the Baltimore Colts got some satisfaction.
